On Tuesday 28 May ESA Space Solutions Belgium organizes an informal ‘Space Drink’ at The Beacon. Guest speaker is Nicolas Helssen who will talk about ‘Space for Artificial Intelligence’.
Space for AI
Artificial intelligence can be weaved together with space technologies to provide exciting new solutions to a wide array of industries. In this short talk, we’ll give you a glimpse of how space data can enhance businesses, and how ESA Space Solutions Belgium can offer you the tools and funding to develop your ideas.
For instance, AI could merge geo-referenced satellite data about detected cars in parking lots with weather forecasts and transaction data to predict future sales for large retail stores, or even combine satellite data on wind patterns with machine-learning algorithms to optimise fuel consumption of aircrafts and maritime vessels.
We’ll touch upon several industries to give you a tease of what’s possible when space meets AI, hopefully piquing your interest and encouraging you to explore new avenues in your technical and commercial developments.
