ESA Technology Broker Belgium is part of the European network of ESA Technology Brokers.
ESA Technology Brokers have two main objectives: to solve industrial challenges using innovative space technology and to help cutting-edge companies bring their terrestrial innovations into the space domain.
Technology Brokers use a combination of market pull and technology push to find the best solution to your problem. They are part of the regional and national innovation ecosystems of their country but act as a network to ensure a pan-European reach.
ESA Space Solutions Belgium is managed by VERHAERT Masters In Innovation, in close cooperation with GALAXIA Space Innovation and imec.istart, and supported by our partners AGORIA, BELSPO, CSL, LAMBDA-X, SIRRIS, SKYWIN, VITO, VRI and WSL.
Innovating with space technology has always been at the core of Verhaert’s operations ever since the start of the company, over 50 years ago. The former space division of Verhaert was spun out to the UK-based Qinetiq in 2009 and became Qinetiq Space, later acquired by Redwire. Today at Verhaert we focus 100% on helping customers to innovate in all industries, but maintaining a strong relationship with the space industry, searching for breakthrough innovation opportunities in non-space applications.
Over the last 40 years we have demonstrated our innovation potential in more than 500 new products resulting in over 100 patents. We have a customer-oriented organization focused on new products, systems and business innovation programs. Our unique approach maximizes the innovation potential by converging user needs & business requirements with expert understanding of and access to state-of-the-art technologies.
