The NOLISYS start-up is the result of more than 15 years of research carried out at the University of Liège in the Space Structures and Systems Laboratory (S3L). Building on advanced experimental and computational techniques, the competence and activities of the start-up focus on detecting nonlinearities in measurement data and assessing their impact on a structure’s dynamics, primarily developed to answer the need of the space industry. Many sources of nonlinearities are present in satellite structures, such as solar panel latches, antenna fixation, deployable systems, joints and bearings, etc.
