The ESA Prepare for Space program aims to support Belgian non-space companies to overcome barriers to entry into the space industry.

For ESA Prepare for Space Belgium, Verhaert, ESA and Belspo (the Belgian delegation to ESA) welcome applications addressing a need for:

• dedicated business support to improve their business case for space (e.g. financial, managerial, business model, market studies, etc);
• support to develop commercial opportunities within the space supply chain;
• presentation of relevant ESA’s opportunities;
• specific training support for apply to ESA opportunities;
• typical steps and requirements for responding to ESA calls and participating to ESA procurements (e.g. understanding of the ECSS)

Successful applicants will receive tailored hands-on assistance for the needs expressed in the application, in the form of intensive workshops, coaching on funding opportunities and introductions to potential customers/collaborators/partners within a 12 months period.
At the end of the program, beneficiaries will have to submit a small report about the activities performed.

ESA Prepare for Space is primarily targeted at Belgian SMEs or larger entities who are either new to the space market and need to know more about ESA’s funding opportunities.
It’s required to have participated to at least one webinar or workshop organized by the ESA Technology Broker Belgium.

The Call is permanently open and has no closing date for the submission of applications, until there is budget available. The selection and evaluation of applications are scheduled periodically; we warmly encourage you to apply at your earliest convenience to receive a prioritary evaluation.
